All-Levels Yoga w/Debbie & Molly & Tonya & Saturday 9am

This all-levels class is suitable for the beginning yogi as well as those ready to move beyond. Continued focus on the breath, while fine tuning your alignment will help you develop deeper into your practice. Honor yourself and learn to find your own edge.

Athletic Yoga Flow w/Chris & Kirsten & Molly & Debbie

An invigorating class with an emphasis on strength, flexibility and stamina. Connect your Ujjai breath with a flow-based sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers, seated poses, twists, backbend and inversions.  Beginning students can build a strong base while more advanced yogis can take their practice deeper. Be prepared to warm up and have fun!

Gentle Yoga: w/Kirsten & Tonya

Yoga is truly for every body, of any age and any body type.  Most experts agree that exercise is what keeps us young and keeps us fit; the only requirement is that you pick something you want to do regularly and stick to it.  Often times our minds trick us with excuses of “I’m too weak”, or “I’m too stiff” and we think “I can’t.” At Namaste, we will show you that YOU CAN! With this class, you can be assured that your experience will be beneficial to your health, will improve your confidence, and will be customized to your body.  Gentle yoga is a great way to build a practice you will continue for years to come; exercise with the bonus of peace of mind.

HOT Yoga: w/Mary

Enhance your yoga practice in a room heateed to nearly 90 degrees!  This all-levels class, based on Baron Baptiste’s teachings, uses breath and flowing movement to link yoga postures together. This amount of heat will allow you to move deeper into your postures safely. The heat also helps to speed up metabolism and increase cardio benefit, promote natural healing, and allow you to achieve a more full relaxation and release of tight muscles. By the end of class you’ll experience a wonderful feeling of relaxation and accomplishment both physically and mentally!
Please BRING a towel to cover your mat, another towel for your body, and water to drink.

Itsy Bitsy Yoga: w/Kirsten & Molly

Itsy Bitsy Yoga features a class filled with calming, nurturing ways to enhance bonding, create a deep connection, and have fun with your little bundle and/or growing and curious toddler For parents & caregivers, this is a special opportunity to meet others, get support, and learn about more about your ‘littles’ emerging personality. We will also explore yoga and movement that can be done with the little one and in small increments throughout a busy day of care-giving.
Featured monthly October through May. 
Please bring everything you need to care for your little one.

Kids Yoga w/Tonya

Kids Yoga is a fun, creative approach to yoga. The use of animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Children can improve concentration, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. Kids Yoga also promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem, as well as a feeling of well-being and respect for others. Children with special needs are welcome to attend accompanied by a caregiver.  Will return October 2011.

Pilates Barre w/Diane

Designed to effectively tone, strengthen and balance the entire body.  Using  a mat and support, you will firm and tone all muscle groups simultaneously through small, focused movements.   This workout integrates Pilates, ballet conditioning and strength training using light weights and various props. Each strength section is followed by a stretching section.

Pre-Natal Yoga w/Julie & Kirsten & Molly

This special class will offer:
Modifications you can use in all yoga classes
Yoga for 1/2/3 tri-mester
Yoga for alleviating discomfort
Yoga for labor
Birth plan and Nursing discussions
This will be a nice forum to find your way through this special time. There is so much coming at pregnant people….it is often hard to stay on YOUR course. This group activity will give you knowledge, insight, and confidence that YOU know what is best for you and your baby!

Tai Ji: Jim

Taiji is the art of stillness in motion utilizing the interaction of yin & yang. We are offering traditional Chen Style Tai Ji and Qigong classes. Scientific evidence is now documenting the benefits of Taiji practice which include improvement in balance, strength and the immune system. Essential curriculum includes: static and dynamic Qigong exercises; standing, sitting and laying down meditation; a traditional Chen Form and basic Push Hands exercises. Classes are ongoing each week so you may start at any time.

Yoga Basics w/Ed & Kirsten

It’s all about the basics:  the breath, alignment, and building a strong foundation.  Begin your yoga journey and/or return to the basics to fine tune and rediscover.  Students will be guided through meditation,  asana practice-the meditation in motion. Learn fundamental postures, sequencing, and Sanskrit.  Release into the final pose: savasana and enjoy your post-yoga blissful state of mind.
